This is great. Wide thinking, many ideas. Great side comments are very valuable. Covers a lot of ground well. Valuable talking of frequency of problems too.

Driving my 72 Olds 442 this morning thought I had a Death Wobble come out of NOWHERE
The car was shaking side to side 30-35mph worst then braking to a stop felt like I had a flat tire scraed the crap outta me. Limped her home. Check the torque on all the lugs OK-check; Air pressure each tire OK-check; searched the net found your youtube Thank You.
Jacked her up took the two front tires off and when I looked at the left one it was WAVY TIRE! Yup the tire on the rim was WAVY!!!!
BF Goodrich TA broken steel belt (inside date code 2001) that will scare the crap outta ya just one more thing to

Excellent video. I have a unique situation. I did all of the typical motor mount tests and there is no excessive play in the movement of the engine, however when idling in drive, there is a very deep low frequency vibration. 2007 Mustang v6.

Good video but a tyre and a wheel bearing turn at the same speed (rpm) perhaps what you mean is the size of the vibration is different but on the same wheel the frequency would be the same.

You can get vibration from loose exhaust fittings too.

Another thing to consider in the product line by Jilcat Proline. IT was engineered for aerospace, tested in racing and used in the military, so it is credible, but it removes the sludge build up that typically associated with stalling, vibration, and cvt issues.

Great video I like the idea that you came up with a bunch of problems that can cause the shake it’s easy enough for backyard mechanics to do some research Thanks 👍🏻

03 GMC Envoy XL with steering wheel shake upon turning to the left only, no howling/growling etc. Have replaced ball joints and sway link bars. Mechanic told me nothing to worry about but has me concerned. Needing help figuring it out without having to replace the entire front end for them to make more money. Was random until having ball joints replaced recently.

When I get into my 03 dodge ram 1500 5.7L 4wd hemi there is a vibration when I hit the gas. Maybe the Bearings of driveshaft Bearings. Any ideas?

Wheel Bearings = also common is a noise that sounds like a propeller that actually increases in pitch upon acceleration and decreases in pitch upon deceleration . . . I had a worn front wheel bearing that sounded like a cessna from the cabin of the truck!

Great comprehensive video. I found it while trying to track down a vibration that has been around for a while now but gotten worse. 2016 Ram 2500. Has aftermarket wheels and slightly larger tires. Vibration occurs at speeds 55 to 75 mph. Most noticeable between 70 and 75. Generalized vibrations felt mostly in my body. Dont feel it on steering wheel. Steering wheel tracks straight without play. Sometimes feels worse while accelerating other times it doesn't.

I've lifted the front end off the ground and checked for play at 12/6 as well as 3/9 on each wheel. No play. Front drive shaft has no play In it and from what i can DOES NOT move while driving down the road in 2wd. Rear drive shaft doesn't have any play either. Control arm bushings appear to be in good shape. It's back at the tire shop for another road force balancing.

Ive ordered a set of hubcentric spacers to see if MAYBE there is some play between wheel and hub. But I'm at a loss.

The ONLY thing I found loose was the drag link to the pitman arm. There is a bit of roll and play to that....

Please, any insight you can provide is much appreciated.

Your video is awesome I like the way you break it all down to different conclusions. Now I need to just see we’re it’s coming from?

Mines a very low vibration at very low speeds when I accelerate. Must be the drive shaft. I'll have to get it checked

Greetings, I have a BMW 525xi (e60). Body Class: Sedan/Saloon. I too experienced a random vibration when I acceleration on the brakes. it feels though something is out of place when I drive 40-70mph at a 90-180 degree on turns. I had several works done to the car like the axel, arm bearings, etc. I went to the tire shop to purchase all 4 new tires at 75, 000 miles. A few highway milages (832 ml.) on the road this became a problem. The alignment was done a day ago and went onto the highway and freeway. it was scary even after driving 30+ yrs. Please advise. By the way, your video is very informative and the extra mile you go to feed your fan great information for economic reason is a PLUS! Keep up the awesome work in store for you to continue and grow.
