I just had a 3 end tv wire. Talked to Comcast did everything they said. New box new controller. Now when they said we had no signal from my box they suggested to have a tech come out for $70. Then I told them no way I would figure it out. So I looked at the tv back and tv box. I found out there was a different slot in both tv and box.
Then I watched your demo and say I was right and I could have been ripped off. Thank you for showing me I was right.

Thank you for the clear instructions. This is what I thought I had to do. I am hoping it works. I know I am at a cable outlet because this is where my old TV was and this TV was a gift and it is new that is why I needed the instructions on the HDMI cable. I am only getting one channel though? I am thinking that has to be good? I recognize the channel from my cable package so that has to be a good sign but I can't change channels. Any ideas why?

I know alot about technology. All I did was put cable in the back of box then put the cable to wall. Then use HDMI for box to tv. Then select the input the HDMI is on.

I cannot find original power cord for 5 year old lg tv. Can I purchase a generic?
ALSO, I have a cord with 3 colors on both ends. Do I need them or are they not necessary with HDMI?
I REALLY appreciate any and all help possible.
We used this tv and stored it 4 years and can only find misc cords and I have no idea where they go!
