Losing 8 to 10 is awful, and I'm so sorry to those families, but 100 out of 110 is a miracle after that place was leveled like that.

It's a tough job but the folks at WHAS are doing what they do best. Keep up the good work.

Whatever was done for emergency preparedness in the candle factory must have been good. With as totaled as that building is, there were very few deaths. You can't predict how a tornado will act. I've been at work when one was coming our way. I worked at an outlet mall. We were told to move the customers to the backs of the store and not to let them leave. There is very little protection in a car during a tornado that they were safer with us. It's hard. I wanted to go home, but our manager was from another state and he knew nothing about tornados, so he wasn't as helpful for keeping things calm. The store next to us was a glass and dish store, the employees move their customers and themselves to our store for safety from flying glass. We weren't hit, but we watched it go by. I feel for the employees and the bosses in this factory. It's hard to figure the best thing to do on something like the weather. It changes by the minute. If they had safety measures that were used, then they must have been rather good. If they had safety measures that were not used, then more would have died. That's just an opinion and probably worthless. Prayers to all those in the affected areas.

In the future, if an employer tells you you'll be fired if you leave, ignore them and leave anyhow. You who are injured, begin your lawsuits.

How come all those people were working when that tornado hit? My phone would have given me the alert, and then someone asked to take shelter.

Why such a high restriction with military for a candle factory? Not being an ass, seriously curious?

What surprises me is how little footage of those actual tornados there is. I know it was late at night but almost every person on the planet has cell phones with camera and video.

Out of 110 employees working that evening 100 are safe, 8 are dead and 2 are missing. 8 others are dead, including officer who had work release people there working?

More than half the factory has Been searched( with a bulldozer?)

Are the 2 missing part of the work release program and could be escaped?

Factory workers threatened with firing if they left before tornado. Prison labor used. High employee turnover. This place needs investigated.
