This year Apple has already released the third generation of its tiny and light 12 inch MacBook. I got my hands on the basic version with Intel m3, 8GB RAM and 256GB SSD.

Would you recommend this over the MacBook Pro 13 base model, I want to do some photo editing occasionally?

Buys a MacBook, buys a Beats Headphones. Seriously do you care about technology, BOTH of those items are terrible for what they do. Dell XPS 13, or even HP Spectre x360 convertable. I have 2 USB C WITH Thunderbolt, 1 USB A 3.1. I7 processor, 512gb SSD, 16GB of Ram, 1080P screen with Touchscreen, flips over into a tablet, comes with a screen pen, last 9 hours on a charge, doesn't use that piece of paper for a keyboard, weighs in at 2.8lbs. I will NEVER understand why people justify Mac as an alternative.
