Apple's 12-inch MacBook grows up

The latest version gets a better keyboard and faster components, but still has just that one USB-C port.

I've one that I use for travel, the older model, it's great for what it is intended to do. For me what I like the most is it's fine to take notes at meetings, fits in hotel safes, great on airplane flights, conserve my OSX ecosystem with my iPhone, office iMac and Macbook Pro and iCloud. Glad they improved they keyboard but it wasn't that bad really. Before I get called a stupid fanboi, I also have quite an insane PC setup for gaming that I assembled myself.

This is the perfect laptop for a lot of people. 90% of people don't use more than 10% of their computer's power...

If Apple lowered the price to $999 and kept the specs the same, this machine would kill it with consumers. It's so powerful for everything other that gaming (yes this thing can edit 4K video) yet so light.

Apple would kill if this thing started at $1000. It is ridiculous what you can get for that same price in an iMac.

I have a 12 inch MacBook from 2016 and I really like the keyboard, only took me less than a day to adapt and now I prefer it I don't see what the complaining is about

I'm very very fond of this MacBook. It's design is just killer. Pleasure to use for most consumers who don't need Pro power. Update webcam would be nice though ☺️

I agree that most people don't use the full potential of computers but they are getting very expensive even the basic decent ones.

why buy this when you can buy MacBook Pro base model. I know most people would never use that extra power but that extra power and port will never hurt you.

writing video streaming and web guess 500$ laptop couldn't do that...even that's an over kill lol but hey it's a MAC OS, so it's not like you have a choice

sad thing is that people spend their hard earned dollars into something so terrible and yet lol new butterfly mechanism improvement in 2017? from APPLE? WE MISS YOU STEVE! Innovation is just down the drain.
