The *NEW* Easiest Way To Kill Chargers (in under 6 minutes!)

How to kill chargers in Helldivers 2, the postscript to the previous addendum (a whole minute faster to kill chargers!). I love the Helldivers 2 devs, but they really screwed me with that last update. They couldn't give me a few days worth of adsense money? That video was going to slap! 100k views minimum!

Anyway, long story short, to kill Chargers in Helldivers 2, you shoot them in the head with a rocket launcher. Boom. End of story. Railgun (only in unsafe mode) works too! Don't blow yourself up, though. Spear, autocannon, and laser cannon (we have a lot of cannons) stonks down big from this update.

Arc thrower lovers, enjoy it while it lasts; that is all I'll say. And finally, this guide works for solos, groups, whatever. Go out there and spread democracy 🫡

When I read the title, I was thinking: "Man, they nerfed it too hard, if the easiest way to kill a charger is now measured in close to 6 minutes".

As someone who uses the flamethrower more than any primary, it def does deal a lot more damage to the leg of a charger. One quarter tank kills it. In your clip at 3:38 you’re just a bit too far away and most of the flames teeter off before connecting directly and that’s why it took the whole tank

I really think it's weird that headshotting the chargers is less of a hassle of shooting the "weakspot" abdomen of the charger

Flamethrower is king for chargers. You can kill a charger aiming at a designated leg with a quarter of a canister. Takes about 3-4 seconds. 4 canisters = 16 potential charger kills (if everything is perfect)
Bonus: Picking up any ammo, either supply drop or small ammo packs scattered on the map will refill ALL 4 canisters.
EAT is definitely more fun to use and I still bring it for the Titans.

For the autocannon, shooting the flesh on the back of the charger is still an option as it blows up in 3 shots. It won't kill the charger right away, but it does cause it to bleed out after a bit and renders it unable to charge. Not the best, but good to keep in mind. You can also do it with the nade launcher, but it will take more rounds. The laser cannon can probably do it but idk how long it would take. Other options are two impact nades to the Charger's face, or an EMP Nade then followed up by a support strategem on the charger itself.

Devs themselves said they will not remove the leg trick. For laser cannon you can also lase the ass of the charger and in about 1-2 charges you can take em out.

Atm the quasar cannon is the go to weapon for both chargers and bile titans, you have to charge it up but its got amazing range and devastating power although it has to cool down after every shot but its literally no longer than 10 seconds. It also has unlimited ammo.

Supposedly the new warbond has some armor that is strong against electric and if a teammate is wearing that you can use them as a conduit to kill enemies swarming them without causing too much damage 😂

Also an important point. If you find yourself without your trusty EAT when encountering a charger, try and stick the charger with the strat. You may just take them out with the hellpod

Thank you so much for making this. I heard that I could use the autocannon on chargers so I ran it. Suffice to say me and my friend and I were not happy when we kept getting run over constantly 😅

Imo anti tank are still better than recoiless rifle because you can half a backpack and a support weapon as well

have you try auto cannon in the charget butt? i found it kill quite fast, up to 3-5 dhot to kill

Arc thrower is still good. Before the last patch you could chain stagger a hulk with just one and kill it without it fighting back. They just increased the threshold for staggering though, so IDK if you can still do that anymore.

Spear still decent against charger, will always break the armor and I've found that while charger is charging towards you it nearly always hits the head which kills.

Although I use the grenade launcher a ton, I haven’t tested on the heads of chargers. Does that work better now or do they still bounce off for some fun grenade roulette?

So I just fought my first chargers ever today. I’m still low level and don’t have access to almost any of this. I was able to kill several chargers relatively quickly with the grenade launcher by targeting their back or the ground underneath them. I think it took like 4 or 5 nades but you can pump em out pretty fast so it was no problem.
