If anything that we were capable of doing or accomplishing, could earn us #legit salvation, then what did Jesus have to die on the Cross for? There is nothing that we, as sinful creatures, can do to save ourselves from eternal damnation. It is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone that we are saved.

Yes tama po ang "we are saved by grace through faith" eh ano po ba yung sinasabing "Faith", ang pagkaalam lang po kasi ng iba ang faith ay 'only believed".. dun sila mali... ang genuine Faith ay binubuo ng BELIEVED, REPENTANCE and OBEDIENCE.

Whose religion is teaching that we are saved by works w/o the grace of God through Jesus Christ? If this Pastor is referring to Catholic as a Christian Religion then He's misleading the people about the Catholic faith. Kindly read the Catechism of Catholic Church (Council of Trent Canon I - If any one saith, that man may be justified before God by his own works, whether done through the teaching of human nature, or that of the law, without the grace of God through Jesus Christ; let him be anathema. (Anathema means Sumpa). Our Church Fathers strongly against that "saved by works w/o the Grace of God through Jesus Christ" teaching. Thus, we are one with this Pastor to denounce such religion. Thus, if he is referring to the Religion of the Catholic, mali po sya. Sabihin nya po sana kung kaninong Religion ang nagtuturo ng ganun para maiwasan ng tao sumapi dun. Pero sabi kc nya All Religion kaya misleading... Religion comes from the Latin word "religare" meaning to bind, Christianity as a Religion means to bind to Christ kaya Christians are person who binds their life to Christ...
