Regarding a Christian's salvation, there are a plethora of views. Two of the most common ones are Free Grace theology and Lordship Salvation. This video will explore exactly what these two terms mean, what proponents of each view believe and my own personal perspective on a believer's salvation.

People love to quote James on this. To me that reads that if you are truly saved, the good works will happen. You will do them as a result of your faith and not because you have to to establish your salvation.

Great breakdown Allen. It’s fair to say that salvation is followed by a new heart / desire to obey God. I think the tough part is HOW we deal with brothers and sisters going through those dry seasons. The lordship salvation view jumps to questioning their salvation (see paul washer’s shocking youth message or MacArthur’s tone around this topic) Which I think is counter intuitive to stirring them to live God’s way. Perhaps it’s the mis application of the view. IMO the last thing someone who placed their faith in Jesus needs is to walk on egg shells regarding their eternity. I don’t think that’s what you’re doing in this video.

One more thing I want to add Brother Allen, I was struggling with walking with Jesus a little bit then that first video on this topic came out and I felt like, "man I might go to hell." But I knew in the scripture I was saved, for there was nothing I could do to be save but to accept the free gift that Jesus gave me. This video cleared things up a lot more for me, I was struggling but the holy spirit still had me and I can go on and try to make each day that God gives me better and get closer to God with the holy spirit guiding me. So thanks for the follow up video, makes things a lot clear for me. 😊

Preaching the freeness of salvation does not lead to false conversions, attempting to conflate man’s works with God’s grace does.

My favorite thing about your content (as someone who doesn’t always agree with you) is that you don’t speak from a emotional point of view but present the word of God in a way that allows any person the opportunity to study and make a decision for themselves. Love the tact of this video! Great work!

I can’t tell you how much this has helped me, Am I doing enough?, is God pleased with me?, am I going to be rapture with other Christians? Or am I going to be left behind to prove myself through the tribulation?, My heart has been lifted up through this video, thank you. Anyone who has self worth issues will always wonder am I really saved, so this has help me more than 20 years of wondering “does God really love me that much”? Answer yes he does, he loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, our Lord Jesus.

I completely agree with you Alan. Works don't create salvation, but salvation should create in us the desires to the works we're told to do in the Scriptures.
Too many folks making this so much complicated than it needs to be!

The math problem analogy really drove it home for me! Thanks for being such a great teacher!!

Great video. I believe the same. We are saved by grace, not works. We are led by the Spirit to produce good works. My heart aches for people who are led to believe in a works-based salvation because they don’t fully understand how good and merciful God is. They don’t fully understand Jesus’ finished work on the Cross.

“The first to state his case seems right until another comes and cross-examines him.”

I saw the videos from YD, Jon McCray and others who jumped off a cliff with their conclusions of you. I was looking forward to your response and you nailed it! YD is a good example of what happens when you pigeonhole yourself into a particular theological camp, you begin to interpret the scriptures through your theological lens as opposed to the opposite… and become confused.

Thank you for your clarity and decorum, Allen!

I agree wholeheartedly, Allen. I don't always agree with everything you say 100% of the time, but I must say you knocked this one out of the park. Thanks for all you do for the body of Christ. You are a blessing! Maranatha!

I think you provided an extremely well-balanced explanation of what salvation is all about. Salvation is a gift. You don't work to earn a gift, you simply accept it, with gratitude. THEN, to demonstrate your gratefulness, through the power of the Holy Spirit, you're able to commit to living a holy life, pleasing to God. Like you said, works cannot earn salvation or maintain salvation. Thank you.

By Grace alone through Faith alone in Christ alone. This is what I believe. Always a pleasure watching your videos.

This is a fantastic breakdown. For me the sign that you are saved is always when you feel conviction when you're not doing something right. It's just a natural effect you will always feel uncomfortable and you will always seek out God. If you don't feel any of this then it's time to question whether you are truly saved.

No wonder you do such an excellent job with teaching the Bible; teaching is your profession. Looking at the feedback and reteaching accordingly (and with illustrations! That math example was spot on!) is definitely the mark of a great teacher. As for where I stand, I agree that saved people demonstrate it with our works. We love Jesus and so we obey Him. 🙏🏽❤️

Great video Allen! You hit a “kill shot” with this video. I lost my wife a year ago of 42 years and I am so proud of myself for not being “angry” at the LORD for taking her from me. That to me showed me that the Holy Spirit is in me and guiding me. My life has actually gotten harder since then and with that doubts about my salvation due to so many unanswered prayers. But, I believe that as long as I remain faithful and keep my testimony in front of friends, relatives and strangers I will be blessed! It will be on the LORDS time and not mine! Thank you again for a very educating video! GOD bless and don’t give up on your racquetbal. You have really advanced your game before you left!

These two videos have been such a blessing, Im only a few years in on my journey and have been taking a class called “Men of the King” and my teacher has been telling us this all year! So awesome to see your videos align with what my teacher says! But most importantly with what God says!

Great Video! I 100% agree with Works Produced Salvation. I think this video will help clear up a lot of confusion that people have in regard to free grace vs. lordship salvation.
