No not by works ur saved by believing faith in Jesus.

We were created to do works, but we are saved by grace by faith and not by works.
Ephesians 2:8-10
"For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.

10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them." King James Version.

What I understand about this, is that our salvation is from God alone, therefore in any works we do all glory goes to Lord Jesus, no glory to us, we didn't earn this. We might earn rewards, but that is to be determined and is discussed in other scriptures, but only because of God's grace.

FAITH in Christ is not ALONE, it comes first with/by GOD'S GRACE, we are saved through FAITH in Christ... followed by Good WORKS of Faith... without Good Works/Acts of Charity of Love towards our neighbors (foes alike) is merely a "DEAD FAITH"... (ref. James 2)... Praise be to God in Christ Jesus... Amen...
