The Battle of Tours, The Umayyad supposedly lost between 300, 000 & 350, 000 warriors, and Martel’s militia supposedly lost only 1, 500 men, which is absolutely crazy (and likely exaggerated imo) but it shows Mattel’s mettle as a leader and warrior king

Much of the army that he raised was farmers which he trained to be soldiers. He met the Muslim at Tours France, and defeated them soundly, thanks be to God. Where are such men today?

I'd argue charles martell is a bit obscure. But frankly a MUCH more underrated character was Odo of Aquitaine, or "Odo the Great".
