Thank you Christian for the updates! As you know landlords are still dealing with ways to access relief funds from both the state and federal levels based upon fraudulent tenants. I've had a case with Housing is Key going back to July and unfortunately the tenant never responded to the case worker because they didn't qualify and took advantage of the system. Based on all my previous comments, property owners are 100% dependent on the "tenant" actually applying for Covid Relief Funding via Housing is Key. What this means is the landlord has no avenue for recourse when the tenant refuses to apply because they do not meet the guidelines....which in turn leaves the landlords with no options to retrieve their financial losses from fraudulent tenants. The tenant is "protected" and the landlord is at a loss. There is a bill SB847, which is now moving to the Senate Judiciary then to the Senate Floor. This is the only hope to obtain assistance from the financial burden many of us have experienced. I urge all property owners to write to the bill creator listed below in support of this measure who have experienced hardships these the past 2yrs. This bill is extremely important and gives the state and federal agencies a chance to make it right for all we've endured.

almost 7 months of torture. Just wait been told that over 2500 times. Qualified at the highest risk tier for my application to be priority. Ultimately after sitting dormant stalled was denied. Appeal filed over 30 days ago a HCD document was requested from CRA was uploaded 3/9 now whats the hold up. Months upon end of rent I have not paid

Your videos are awesome! I applied for rental assistance before apartments were sold and taken off rental market. Current owner is refusing to fill out the landlord portion because they are no longer renting the space. Any information we need concerning our lease wont be addresses at all but they have your deposits. They are willing to give us the deposit the day we move but refuse to act as landlords.

I was speaking to an eviction attorney who said, "Housing is Key always saying there will be a deadline but then continue to extend. I would not be surprised if by March 31, Housing is Key makes an announcement that assistance and applications are being extended." I live in LA County, so my renters are protected by the moratorium. However, if assistance IS NOT actually extended, and the attorney's assumption is incorrect, what happens to these renters then? Are they simply allowed to be at the residence, be protected, but not have to pay rent regardless of there not being assistance? I guess we'll have to wait for March 31st/April 1st to roll around and wee what any update might be.

I can't believe there's no more funds for LA County/City. The moratorium is going until June 2023 - we can't even begin to collect through a civil suit/small claims until June 2024. And good luck ever seeing a penny from that. There has to be something the state/County is doing, right? They can't possibly expect people to go 30-40k in the hole, can they?

Reading the comments so many people are saying no money. Like many of you my application is in documentation review. It is very worrisome and the deadline is getting so close. Also I do not have a rental or lease agreement my grandmother passed away and she was the renter but know I am. Does anyone know if I have a leg up on the landlord? My hope is I can pay all my back rent asap.
