So my case worker told me about a month ago he was getting things together to send to the department for final review, , what is a final review?? I thought the caseworker makes the decision if the TT gets it or not?

My landlord filed out this rental assistance & told me about it. I filed out my part & all documents were sent in. I’ve gotten an eviction notice which is why she’s trying to help me get some help before it’s too late. Will it still take a few months to be seen with us both putting in for it, having all needed documents & having an eviction notice?!

Hello Christian!
It appears that the issue with non-participation of the Tennant (applying) still exists and hasn't been addressed by the State of the Feds. This issue is an extremely serious problem when tenants do not pay rent AND will NOT apply for assistance using Housing is Key. They won't apply simply because they know they don't qualify and this leaves the landlord with no means for recourse. My tenant has been non-responsive since 7/1/2020 and has accumulated a large amount of unpaid rent. We need to update the guidelines to address this issue as many landlords are losing their businesses and forced to sell. There has to be a way in which high profile individuals such as yourself can address this and allow landlords to collect regardless of whether or not tenants have applied. What I'm saying is we need to "disassociate" the tenant and the landlord when both parties fail to cooperate with the guidelines. Updating the requirements is imperative for us to retain our properties that we've spent a lifetime building. This is our future and should not jeopardized by non-cooperative parties. We need help from people like you who can see both sides of this issue. Thanks!!

Hello Christain, thank you so much for sharing your video! I really appreciate it. For my situation, I've got first rent assistance(received November 2020 ~ August 2021) . Currently waiting for 2nd pending application and it's for until November 2021. My roommate has no reliance on paying the rent so I am the only one who needs to pay the full rent. The question is am I able to apply for another application? If that would be working, I would like to apply until March. I hope you read my comment and have a blessed day !

my landlord rented me an unpermitted unit, she gave me an eviction notice May 26, 2021 with the reason being "chronic negative behavior"
she is now trying to get this Rental Assistance. Is that legal for her to do when the unit is illegal and unpermitted? and her reason for my eviction had nothing to do with paying rent.
