Whether you watched a whole lot of TV ads or just that one episode of "The Office," you've more than likely heard Chili's "I want my baby back ribs" jingle that became a phenomenon in the late 1990s. But the chain was serving up ribs well before that, starting in 1986. And they're still on the menu as a signature item at just about all of Chili's 1,400 locations in 26 countries.

How did Chili's perfect this dish? It's not just a matter of throwing them on the grill. They've got the process down to a science. Here's what really makes Chili's baby back ribs so delicious.

They are ok. Like to make my own ribs. Only tried them once. It was enough. Was fun to watch. Great video

The problems with Chili's isn't their food, it's their service. The word "service" has no meaning at the three Chili's in my surrounding area. I stopped going there several years ago as a result. It's really a shame since I love their Old Timer burger. But' I can't stand being ignored by servers who stand around and talk with each other or on their phone while my food sits under a warming light in the pickup area. And that's after waiting twenty minutes for a server to acknowledge we were at her/his table.

This must be an April fools joke. News flash there are no “grills” in Chili’s anymore. It was a real stretch to say the ribs are pressure cooked. But they certainly don’t get cooked on a grill before they are served. They get ran through a fancy pizza oven like at Pizza Hut.

They’re fine. They’ve got nothing on the ribs I smoke at home, but that’s not what they’re made for. They’re made for a random Tuesday night when I’m hungry for ribs but don’t have the time or energy to cook them

pressure cooking "BBQ" before searing on a broiler/salamander only makes the meat mealy. If you bbq correctly by smoking low and slow overnight the meat is tender but also has a spring to it, rather than simply being mushy. Don't believe me? Go to any BBQ competition and see if anyone uses a pressure cooker. Seriously, "if you think that those ribs are good I feel bad for you."

That's definitely not how the ribs are made lol cooked in a oven with wood pucks maybe "pecan" and they don't even have a grill.... everything comes in a bag and it's microwave to order lol welcome to 2022

Ironic. I ordered Chili's Ribs for delivery tonight. I think they were from a suckling pig. SMALL portion, and obviously left over. They are like so many other restaurants...they send the dining room reject food out the delivery door. To make a buck, they are losing a LOT of customers.

Anyone who has actually prepared ribs for smoking knows that removing the "silver skin" is not as "easy" as a butter knife and pulling it off "in one piece"...
Every rib rack is different and you have to use a paper towel to hang onto that skin when it sometimes pulls apart all over the place or even comes off at all.
And really, Chilies is NOT a good place for baby back ribs at all...
I can, and I am NOT a professional or even that good a cook nor from the South, or even YOU (New Yorker's et all) can do ribs better than Chilies!
They are like the canned tuna of ribs... Just saying. You can get filled up, but it's not an "experience".
Smoking is a fun way to cook tho!

Use paper towel to grasp the silverskin and lift away.
