Beans or No Beans in Chili??

It's the great debate- should chili have beans in it?

I was born in Oklahoma, lived Oklahoma, Texas and New Mexico and have enjoyed many different recipes of chili. Most just as delicious as another, but I agree that the original recipe has no beans 🫘. Having lived in Texas for half my 70 years, I never refuse a bowl 🥣 of chili with beans. Did you know the Official State Dish of Texas is chili? Keep up the great work Kent

Will never forget my first Chili Cookoff in TX - we were stationed in San Antonio and had never been to a cookoff -- I couldn't get over that beans don't belong in chili - - well it does in Maryland where I was raised.

My dad made his with chorizo, smoked chuck and a pintos fresh ground peppers. The best. He's from Mexico.
