How to open and fix black screen Samsung Note 10.1 (2014)

Does the display of your Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014) not work anymore, but do the capacitive menu and back keys still light up? Then this might be an easy fix. Get the back cover off your Note 10.1, detach the connection cable, retach and you're good to go!

Already tried using a credit card to open the back cover, unsuccessful.

All corners of dead card is damaged now because of it, and only half of the cover is opened now. other half is stuck, and the buttons are now broken because of it. Do NOT use a credit card!

Thank you so much, my tablet decided it wants to turn its display's color inverted after owning it for like 4 or 5 years, and I was absolutely clueless on how to fix it until I found this video. So yeah, if your screen decides to invert its colors, it's probably because the cable isn't quite right... Love this tablet so I was afraid I've lost it, lol.

Holy crap this worked! I was about to throw this out and this took about 5 minutes. If you have a cheap phone repair kit with a plastic case wedge it goes even faster
