The actor’s delivery suggests this isn’t a threat, but a warning. He’s basically saying ‘You didn’t win anything, you just poked a hornet’s nest.’

Parker: You know this isn’t over.
Jake: I think it is, we’ll have 13 years of peace.

What’s oddly cool is that the 13 years between films appears to translate to the story as well, which is roughly the amount of time it would take the humans to get back to earth, regroup, and return. Hence, the audience has a real-world feel for the length of time that has passed.

its not about revenge.. parker is telling him to remember that earth needs unobtanium and its worth more ivasions for the humans.. he is reminding jake of that reality

He's like "You think I'm evil? Wait till you meet my variants."

I love Parker as a character. When I saw this movie for the first time I had just gotten my first job, and Parker was the EXACT likeness of one my my managers. Appearance, personality, everything straight down the middle. I always found him a very believable character for that reason.

I also noticed what Jake said is similarly same thing when Neytiri told her people to calm down when Jake was surrounded in the beginning.

That moment where Selfridge starts walking to the ship again was jarring when the music was all forbidding and sinister then awkwardly resumes the triumphant music to lead into the finale.

I somehow thought Parker would have intentions of revenge. This new scene totally proved me right.

It was only a matter of time before the RDA would return

I really wished they kept the scene where Parker was trying to stop the bombing of the tree.

That guy will always just be Phoebe's brother from the show "Friends", who liked to melt stuff.

I hope we get more of Parker. I love the few scenes we got with him

It's not that Parker wanted to see the Navi go through crimes from his own people. He didn't agree with most of the stuff that happened in the movie, but sometimes he had to make the tough decisions to keep his job. If he didn't have such a high position in the movie, he would've fought along side Jake. There was even a deleted scene where he argued with the colonel when they were going to launch a gruesome bombing strike against the Navi. He didn't care about the land marks of Pandora, but he still wanted to keep his field of work clean and humane as possible. This scene wasn't a deliberate scene of him saying they were going to come back to destroy the planet, but it was a warning that his superiors will not give this planet up so easily. You can easily tell this in his body language that there was regret that he let his operation that he was controlling go so far out of hand.

I wish the rerealease had the excess 15 minutes from the box set they released years ago too. First; they added to the beginning, you see Sullys home and the city he's in, and later you actually get walked through the old school Grace ran and listen to her talk about it.

You can almost say he meant it as a warning, not a threat

Jim Cameron waited 13 years to release this scene as a segue to Avatar 2 all the while withholding it in special, extended & deleted scenes editions. Mad guy! 👌

Idk why this wasn’t added in the extended edition
