Thank you for the video - really useful for a beginner, and the explanation just clicked better than other sources I've tried.

i'm pretty sure everything taht was said in this video i've heard in previous ones, however it was explained in such a way that it just fit. especially the idea of rotation allowing for FULL arm extension. i've been trying to find a video that explained why rotation was so important for someone like myself who has no issue breathing during stroke and has not experienced shoulder pain. also the reduced drag while perpendicular to the water as opposed to parallel never was backed by any logical reasoning that i could find. thanks for sharing

Thanks so much for this! I think I was keeping my shoulders too rigid and straight in the water

When I practice kicking drill only with a float I don't move forward. Any good videos breaking down the kick? Thanks

High position? A hell of a lot of experts advise a low head position to avoid the hips sinking, and to look directly to the bottom of the pool. So much contradictory advice for the front crawl.

Very useful information. However, I am confused about the position of the head and where to look. You recommend not looking straight down. Bob Bowman who coaches Michael Phelps says “The best swimmers in the world have a head position which is low with a very long neck. They don’t look forward down the pool, they look at the bottom of the pool. This allows their hips to rise up near the surface, and allow them to be in the most efficient position possible when travelling forward”.
