Happy Monday! Let's kick off the week with a little comparison :)
Mahogany or Spruce? Dreadnought or Concert? What's your favourite acoustic guitar combo?

First off. You play some great acoustic. Very clean and lovely. Liked the mahogany for sure. Really stunned by how nice these guitars sound for the price point. Great vid!!!!

I love that you play Jack Johnson in your demos! He is my favorite musical artist!

So glad you did this. I’m searching for my 13y/old son an acoustic. Right on time.👍🏻

As always, both sound absolutely phenomenal! But I'd actually gotta go with the Austen! Great work my man!

I am quite surprised how good both of them sounded. The quality of import instruments has really improved tremendously, even in the last 5 years. Thank you for another enjoyable video Darrell.

One of your earlier reviews got me interested in the Orangewood guitars, so I bought the Mason mahogany, followed by the Oliver spruce. They sound fantastic and the sound is improving. A set of Elixirs on the Mason really brought it to life. Anyone looking for a good guitar should give these a long look.

I think the Austen sounds better, but the Oliver looks better.

I have an Austen. I found one in a guitar shop and liked how it sounded so I picked it up.

Thanks Darrell,
Always the best comparison videos.
The Oliver looked and sounded great.
Orangewood may be my next acoustic purchase.

Oliver. I like the warmer sound as opposed to the prickly brighter sound but it looks like I'm in the minority in the comments haha

A wonderful and totally unexpected surprise. Though an advanced guitarist, had anyone asked until now I would have always turned them on to the Yamaha Fg800 series for affordable starter guitars that provided great quality and sound for the price. When I heard these through my computer speakers, I couldn't believe the quality of the tone and the great looks. Thanks for introducing them to us. As one who remembers the days of decades ago when cheap guitars just meant crappy guitars, this new level of intro instruments is truly amazing.
