MMORPGs require a massive time investment, so we made a list of the top 10 MMORPGs in 2021. Take a look!

MMORPGs, or Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Games came on to the scene a few decades ago, but really exploded into the mainstream with the launch of World of Warcraft. Many games have come and gone since, but a few, such as Final Fantasy XIV and Elder Scrolls Online, continue to have strong showings today. But there are many others along the way that contributed to the genre as a whole, and informed games that were to come.

FFXIV Dethroning WOW is a good thing for both FFXIV & WOW... Competition breeds excellence and Blizzard needs a massive wake-up call in general.

Coming from WOW, ESO & Guild Wars 2 - I thought FFXIV would be too "weeb" for my tastes, damn was I wrong. FFXIV is GREAT. A slow start, with quite a bit of a learning curve for sure, but once you hit higher levels/post Realm Reborn, you'll most likely be hooked as the payoff feels earned.

I'm really happy to see Guild Wars 2 is in there, it's my favorite mmo right now. Why did you use 240p clips though wtf?? Also I'm very surprised that Lord of the Rings Online and Runescape isn't on the list. DC universe online lolwut??

FFXIV is well deserving of the top spot, especially now that you can play this award winning MMO for free up to level 60, including the highly acclaimed Heavensward expansion.

I’m a XIV veteran, and I can honestly say it has been an amazing game so far! And while it wasn’t said here, Final Fantasy XIV has an unlimited free trial you can play! Up to level 60, all through the base game, the first expansion, unlock the 3 new jobs added with said expansion, and the (at the time) new race! The community is very helpful, the story is amazing, the music is wonderful, and the glamour(transmog) system is expansive! While character creation is a little lacking, there are new hairstyles you can purchase in game!
