Me, who’s used Studio One for almost 4 years, watching this: Damn, that DAW looks sick.

I bought myself Studio One 6.5 for Christmas and I LOVE it. I was a Cakewalk Sonar user for many, many years and then they were dropped by Gibson and acquired by Bandlab. They gave away their DAW for years and now since they have refined the software, they are about to start selling it again as Sonar again. I got my Studio One 6.5 as a crossgrade from my Sonar Platinum purchase back in 2017, which was Cakewalk's last Sonar update). Pipeline XT, which allow the connection of my hardware was worth the purchase price alone.

I started with Studio one years ago. And never left. Glad to see your on board!

I have both Studio One and Reaper. They're very similar and both are great. I also have Ableton but I only use it for Electronic type stuff.

Use it for a few years now think about 9 years. Came from FL, but liked this so much better. (but FL has his own place in my heart)
I also like how you can bounce a instrument so easy with a good key bind you prefer best.
Hope you gonna have a good time with it, but already seems like it ;)
Duplicate with D btw. :P

Have a good day!

Studio One is a great DAW, I was surprised to see how well it handles plugins and optimizes memory, it has a great GUI for workflow, I also use REaper which has been my go to for many years, it can take just about everything you throw at it, but I'm now starting to use Studio One as it has many good features. Thanks for your video.

Huge S1 fan and delighted to see your enthusiasm for it. There are so many shortcuts to make the workflow really smooth and it’s so worth spending a bit of time learning about them. Also love the Atom SQ and the ioStation 24c.

Studio One is fantastic!. I've been using it since 2012, so if you need any help, I'd be happy to lend a hand!

Really like Studio One. I do wish they would have a standard playhead at the top of the timeline to grab on to like Logic Pro does. I got so used to that and would love for them to have that feature. 👍🏻

I have switched from pro tools, to ableton, to fl studio to srudio one 6...best decision I have made for using a fast workflow for recording editing music

Just got my first Apple Mac Mini M2 Pro. Always been on PC but love the Mac . Always wanted to try Logic. I'm a Cubase user since 2003 and also Studio One. I've started the trail of the latest Logic but it feels so behind Cubase and Studio One. Think people should try a few Daw's and not just stick with what you've started on cause like you said, people don't even know what they miss.

I love Studio One. Been a user for a couple years now. It's a beautiful looking DAW with great features, but my favorite part and why i will continue using it is due to their integration with their hardware. Im using their Studio 192 interface, faderport 16, and Atom. Everything works seamlessly. I love how i can control my interface inside of Studio One. If i need to change my preamp gain or phase of a channel, then i can from the mixer view instead of opening up a separate editor or reach for the physical unit. It's really cool.

Logic - in the top right, click on snap to absolute value and it snaps to grid. default is relative snap

Hi Sean
I watch your tutorials with great pleasure
Music means the world for me
I am 70 years young, play guitar for 10 years and ukulele for one year. I was always crazy about music but never thought of playing an instrument myself
I have a remark and a question
My remark: when ever there is a tutorial (not specific by you) about strumming it usually concerns patterns: UUDDUDUD etc.
But I am also interested in the technique, especially how to strumm with my nails of 3 fingers simultaneously. This is kind of different especially the upstrokes because your nails can get caught in the strings
The pro’s like you do this so easily
It sounds great and it looks great. And you know that we men play an instrument to impress the chickies😅😅
May be a good idea to spend a tutorial about this?
All the best wishes
Dirk from Helmond, Holland

Presonus is so awesome and easy to use and I love all the free stuff that comes with studio one and others things such as studio live and Atom sq and Iostation.

former Hardcore S1 user. Now back on Cubase 13 and finally very happy, I must say.... Now Cubase has all the features that has made S1 great... bezier curves, muuuch more drag drop, simple browser with vsti pics, lower zone, event effects, etc. - BUT: Cubase has much more to offer ! Cubase has way better effects and vstis (in comparison S1 is very lame in this area), modern in inspiring sample content, the best flexible mixing console. I can´t live without the fast samplertrack and control room. Midi and chord composing in Cubase is also much better and don´t forget the free 5 GB pro orchestra library. Cubase highly recommend. No doubt.

5 months later, how do you like it? I joined their subscription service along with Reason's. I love Studio One for the Melodyne integration and the drag-and-drop anything anywhere and it will probably work setup. I use Reason because Studio One recognizes my MIDI controllers but doesn't want to let me use them, except my ATOM drum pad (someday I'll ask for some tech support and ditch Reason maybe -- I do love their digital instruments). All in all I hope it's working out well for you; I like the company and their spokespeople.

I've always used Cubase because it came with my first interface and I just kept upgrading but if I was to change it would be Studio 1. It looks great.
