iPhone 5 drop test

This iPhone 5 was made entirely of OEM parts but had a bad power button and the touch often didn’t work. It survived 62 drops plus some I didn’t record. I think it was pretty durable although last year I did the same thing with a black iPhone 5 and it lasted for 121 drops

My mom used to have that exact iPhone, and I still remember the fun memories we had with it, it died in 2017 due to the nand failing. Its so sad to see this...😢

I dunno abt you, but I think the sharp edges make the phone more durable. My S8+ from 2017 cracked immediately after dropping it on concrete.

Iphone 5: I can survive 63 drops 6 feet height anywhere
Iphone 15 pro: I can survive 1 3 foot drop before you need a new phone

That thing is weak, like I have one from 2015, I remember when I was younger I accidentally tripped over an indoor swing and my iPhone fell flat on its front on the ground. In the end it shattered completely, but it’s still working. And also when my friend was at my place when swinging accidentally dropped it and this time it was even crazier, because the screen was still working, shattered, and the glass coming off almost completely. And yesterday when I turned it on, when it was on, the screen was still working, but man, how it started glitching, like, the lockscreen and my wallpaper colors started showing a bunch of colors and lines, and the touch screen was going wonky, like when I try to enter my passcode, you have to hold down 1 finger on the screen, so it won’t start glitching, and that was crazy. Now I can definitely tell, that that thing is recyclable, I mean it still works, but it’s just won’t stop glitching, and even when I slammed it on the table, some pixels started dying out
