It's that time of the year again. You know, dropping brand new phones time!

We drop tested the _red hot Galaxy S4_ against the eternal rival, _the iPhone  5._ Let's just say that you should definitely invest in a good case for your phone.


How important is the build material to you? Are you disappointed that the Galaxy S4 is still made of plastic? What’s it going to be folks? My goodness!

comparing phones dropping them randomly is stupid and not relevant

You cannot do a true and fair test based on random dropping like this. It soley depends on where the point of impact is on the phone. I think the GS4 here impacted the floor in a weaker position than the Iphone did and that's why the screen shattered. If the Iphone had fallen and impacted the floor in the same place, that too would have had a cracked screen. Pointless test with no fair results to represent true durability.

For some reason the corners on these phones are the weak spots. Dropped my Note 2 on concrete steps, cracked the bottom corner. Wife drops her note 2 on top corner shatters screen.
