the point of impact determines whether or not the screen cracks. As long as you can't assure that both phones impact at exactly the same angle, the test is completely invalid. That being said, I had both an iphone 4S and a galaxy S3, each for about a year. I had to replace the glass on my iPhone 2 times, but never had to worry about the S3, even though I'm fairly sure I dropped it more often than I did the Iphone.

I dropped my s3 from a "mid distance" as he'd say, on my bathroom floor, and it was perfectly fine. Unfair test, drop it screen first? Really?

if you want true crash tests- 3 things must be made:
1)every phone, which must be dropped from 3 heights must be held by mechanisms, not by human, so that the landings would be the same(on the same side etc.)
2) there must be tests with different angles of drop(on screen, top side, on back, etc.), so that it would show the fragile sides of each phone
3) specifically in this test-there must be similar phones(i mean in coverings(Iphone was in metal, & SG3 is pure plastic-not fair :))) ) & in dimensions(i think it's agreeable, that if we drop Iphone 3 & Google Nexus 7 - the impact power would be greatly different). Thumbs up, if You agree with me :)))
