This makes me think of the time when I was seven and my summer camp councilor was a psychology major and he started telling me and my friends in detail about the thought process behind cereal and how they chose their victims. Very thought provoking and interesting stuff, if I wasn’t 7.

A Psychology major defaulting to medications as his first response? That sounds wrong. Like, not morally wrong, but first thinking about meds sounds more like what you'd expect from a med student specializing in psychiatry instead.

Okay, it’s always the interesting subjects that don’t get praised for the pay that often. Psychology and education are what interest me the most now and honestly, I might end up going for it, I’m tired of seeing everyone go into the medical field and boast to me. No one really cares, I’m going to carve your own path at this point. I’m going to choose the fields that make me feel most comfortable

both parents are these majors. they made like $5 above minimum wage after receiving their graduate degrees, but now make more money cuz they have their own therapy business. to let you know: the major’s rewards are in the soul, not in the check

Psychology degree here graduated 2023 - started my masters in IOP dropped out hated all the discussion posts. didn’t want to believe my mom but now I’m in nursing school 5 months left best decision I ever made!

I might minor in psychology when I get to college. I think the information would be useful, but I don't think going year after year after year would be worth it unless I'm aiming to be a psychiatrist.
