My aunt got a vitamin B deficiency from drinking too much and was diagnosed with Wernicke's Encephalopathy and it progressed into dementia and it breaks my heart because she's not just my aunt, she's my best friend. I tried getting her to go to the doctor and stop drinking but by the time she went, it was too late. She is in a nursing home now.

So does excessive consumption eventually just wear all of that away? Or is there a way to rebuild your brain after excessive consumption? Like is it possible for a person to come back from over 5 years of alcohol abuse?

Lets talk about a drunk driver who killed the father of 4 teenagers and only got 4 weekends in jail so he wouldnt lose his job. The trauma is devastating. I dont drink but alchohol ruined my life anyways!😢
