HOW TO ADD/SYNC LOCAL SONGS TO MOBILE SPOTIFY (2019) (SIMPLE) UPDATED VERSION IN DESCRIPTION

This is a brief tutorial on how to add/download songs to your mobile device.

I finally found a way if the songs don’t show up and u tried every way. Go to ur Spotify settings on ur phone go all the way Down to local data and turn the sync on there

For anyone struggling with the firewall, you don't have to turn it off and on. Once you go into windows defender firewall you can click "Allow an app or feature through Windows Defender Firewall" on the left side of the window. Once there, click change settings and scroll down to "spotify.exe" check both boxes for "private" and "public" then press "ok" to save. You should be done.

the song i put in my playlist does not show up on my phone playlist

I can't download the song on my phone. It shows up in the playlist but it won't download. It just stays gray and it says: waiting to download, but it won't even start downloading...

IF THIS DOSEN'T WORK go into you phone spotify settings and scroll down and click on local files, then switch Enable Sync from desktop.

Still doesn't work. On my phone the songs are there they're just blank and when I click on them nothing happens

I can confirm that this tutorial still works. Just did it.
1. Download your music and find it through Spotify.
2. Go to Local Files on Spotify and then add the song to a playlist.
3. Turn off Windows Defender Firewall.
4. Go to your mobile device that is connected to the same network as the computer.
5. Find the playlist and click the slider at the top of the playlist to download it.
I have confirmed that this still works as of 11/16/18 and I assume that this feature will not be turned off anytime soon.
I will keep you updated if needed.
(Make sure you turn your firewall back on)

If you’re having trouble with having the song show on your phone (assuming you followed all steps correctly), go back to the app on your computer. Go to the playlist you made for all the songs from your computer, and click the “Download” slider. It should then be Downloaded on your phone app in that playlist

I'm really struggling with this because I downloaded by song to the playlist on my computer and it plays fine but on my phone it is greyed out completely and won't play how can I fix this
