legit had no problems when i initially added my songs months ago but all a sudden one day they wouldnt download anymore and ended up losing them all and wouldnt re download back to my phone again and this just saved <3

This is amazing thank you. I already had the songs in a playlist and just followed the fix tutorial but it didn’t work so then I deleted all the files off Spotify and my computer and refollowed your whole tutorial and it worked perfectly!! Thank you!!!! Literally saved my life I only have 2 days left of my free premium and this was the only tip thing that fixed it this whole month of trying!! I wish Spotify would fix it but thank you anyway!!

on my phone in local files, it doesn't say "no devices are currently available for syncing" or "one device is currently available for syncing, " theres just nothing there

When I'm in the Spotify App on my phone, the only option I have is to "Add tracks from my phone into my library only" not the syncing option you have.

Try some of these recommendations from comments on this video:

#1 Try connecting both devices to a public wifi that isn’t the one you are currently on. (You might have to go somewhere else to do this)

#2 Make sure the files are .mp3, not .wav. Spotify won't recognize .wav, so they sit "grayed out".

#3 Try using ITUNES as an alternate method
plug your phone into computer
import desired songs into itunes on PC
use itunes on PC to sync local file songs onto phone
then you should have the songs on spotify

HOLY Thank you so much! I didn't have problems adding local files before on my old Sony phone but then I bought a new Samsung and I just couldn't get it to work-UNTIL NOW!!! You're a lifesaver!

i think spotify had an update where it changed the local files setting from that to just anything from your phone instead of syncing with another device which is lame
