They took their time,
never wanting to leave,
slick track change,
gallons to the sleeve.
April in the castle,
bottles two then nine,
tearing into slumber,
empty to the dime.

A rest upon the exit,
arrest would not decay,
the carpel now encumbered,
silking no delay.
Shadows burning teeth,
wide foaming grins,
coiled 'round the rafters,

Wanting, waiting,
it wasn't even there,
Searching, diverging,
borrowed everywhere.
And when it hasn't sounded,
nothing ever ripens,

This reminds me of Terry Pratchett's Nightwatch. Mr Green sees the young assasin Vetinari standing in the lobby and asks if he can assist. "No thankyou Mr Green, i'm teaching myself to stand still". Mr Green thinks its an odd answer and goes back to his office, then later decides that Vetinari must have gotten bored and left, because he didn't see him again that entire afternoon.
