The super glue idea that not many people know about

In this video, I did a lot of repairs using super glue and powder from ashes. Super glue is a very suitable material for repairing small plastic tools. Most people know how to fix using super glue and baking soda.

For those that don't smoke, you can also use the ashes of your enemies.

Cheers to this guy for actually using the super glue bottle repeatedly enough to where it doesn't glue itself shut forever.

For those who don't know. You can get the same exact effect with baking soda instead of ashes.

Wow, 70yo lady here, this is absolutely brilliant!! Wish I'd known about these hacks decades ago....I've always been a DIY, mechanical, and fix it myself from a little girl..my mom used to give me broken toasters and radios to dismantle and see how they tic....I can think of thousands of projects I melted my brain trying to come up with solutions for just creative repairs etc. I have worked on ...these hacks are so great .... I know I'll be using them in any future tricky projects that come..

My grandpa used to do this until he got pulmonar hypertension for years of smoking. Now he uses sodium bicarbonate instead. This video gave me great memories. I miss him everyday

Where someone sees a full ash tray, this guy sees a sea of possibilities.

Now if you just come up with a way to use empty whiskey bottles and beer cans to make household repairs I'll be all set.

I was told about this little trick about 30 years ago by a guy who fixed copy machines, I just never tried it, awesome little trick, can be used to fix many many things.

To repair a fingernail, put a bit of split sheet toilet paper over the break, and soak it in super glue. Works a treat, just file it into shape after it's set. Works with any kind of extremely thin paper, or even the proper fibreglass sheet that's used for false nails. That method has worked on lots of things over the years for me

Baking soda works just as well without having to light or buy a cigarette. This has been used for years in guitar repairs. Fixes a chipped nut and also fills in deep paint chips and the super glue can be colored to match paint!

I learned this trick a couple of years ago but instead of ashes I was told to use backing soda. It instantly dries as hard as rock.

Cool video but I would definitely like some explanation during the tutorial. You used the filter as well as the ash, so my takeaway is that adding superglue to anything lightweight that will soak up the superglue will give a rock hard effect. I definitely don’t know the first thing about chemical reactions
