Cut the ponytail off. The loose hair under the ponytail can be a start point to begin shaving it off. You will only be able to remove the hair in the crown area. The perimeter will need to grow out while you wear wigs (no glue). Once the hair all around the perimeter starts to grow out, cut the plastered hair off. You will lose your length but at least be able to protect your hair follicles. Less damaging than placing any chemicals that aren't meant for skin on your hair. You DO NOT want to risk chemical burns that may damage your hair follicles permanently (acetone is ok- may have to soak the hair thats left daily til it loosens). Where are you located?
