Y’all, not being able to eat solid foods will make you lose a ton of weight but you will also hate your life in the meantime. I remember making a list of all the foods I wanted to eat once I was healed up 😭

Was in a bad car accident 2001 and had broken my mouth in 3 to 4 places and was wired shut for almost 12weeks it was something I don’t want to go through again ever .Well it was about a week stay at the hospital from my losing a lot of blood & teeth, my surgery on mouth(had a few more procedures done even afterwards), broke my hand, cut the head pretty bad, had a tube in my eye, loss most of my hair from so much glass being on my scalp (took months to brush).just glad to be alive thanks to all that helped me out ❤

My sister had jaw surgery. She was stuck at home, her face swollen. She was slobbering and constantly having to wipe liquid food off her face. She is naturally very thin (about 100 lbs) and no one told her about the weight loss. She barely ate. All her bones started protruding. Her knees were scary. She looked like a skeleton and felt awful. They cut her out of the metal early because she needed to eat food right away. She's glad she had the surgery even though she'll need some more on her gums. She's almost done with her braces too. Still, it was awful seeing my sister so miserable and angry at life like that. She just spent her days crying, whining and trying to scream her frustration at us. I'm glad she's good now.
Edit: She's out of the braces and had the gum transplant she needed. She's doing great and her face honestly looks even better than it did before. Seeing old pictures is kinda weird now. 😅

I had a class mate that for his braces he had to basically band his shut for 3 months. A teacher tried to give him detention for "growling at her".

I had a horrific ATV accident at 15 years old. I was wired up for a month. Doctors expected me to survive on Ensure. After a week I couldnt anymore.

My mother wasn't having any of it. My brothers had chicken, rice and beans? I got the sameee meal. Some way, somehow, she managed to turn ANY meal into a drinkable one.

Now, to many this sounds horrible, but when you're facing drastic weight loss, starving, it's a gift from up above. Not only did I thrive, I gained back 5 pounds I had lost at the hospital.

I was stubborn as hell at first, but honestly, I think I drank that entire bowl on one breathe. 😂
