Today we're taking the F-16 Viper up for a long range engagement, in this fight we fight another F-16 and we are using the aim120 charlie, we're exploring the new capabilities of the AMRAAM since ED updated the physics and drag indexes a little. Thanks for watching and hope you guys enjoy the video thank you for your ongoing support with the channel.

This Video was made using the simulator, DCS, or Digital Combat Simulator and is one of the premier Flight Combat Simulators available on the market today. Always expanding and getting better and adding new modules and terrains/maps for everyone to enjoy, not to mention no shortage of sales so you can pick up planes for very cheap from time to time. Defiantly worth checking out some of the best modules in the game, from the F-16 Viper to the F-18 Hornet The F-14 Tomcat, to the Mirage the JF-17 Thunder all the way back to world war 2 planes and even Korean war Mig-15s and F-86 Sabres. All around one of the greatest Flight Simulator experiences around.

In this Video I bring you my top 5 choices for best Air to Air aircraft in DCS, if you're looking for a module to purchase and not sure which ones is best for you, this video will be very helpful in helping you decide I Hope. Let me know if you agree with these choice and how you would rank your Best Air to Air platforms or aircraft in DCS.

Playing around with the new Amraam physics added a little while ago you can really get some nice long distance kills now, it really only works if the other guys doesn't know the tactics tho, but its amazing the advantage you gain now from firing Amraams at higher altitudes, there is a lot to unpack in the Tacview in this video. Hope you guys enjoyed the Video and thank you for supporting the channel. You're all greatly appreciated.

I gotta say I like the concept of this:

It’s like an Air Combat equivalent of Fencing. Two people duel it out, no complex confusing brutal motions, no swings with swords. Just two aircraft moving towards each other firing shots every once in a while. Nice and relaxing.

Someone should turn his into an actual sport.

Only thing I miss from BMS is the pilot notifications.
When he says "Fox 3", "pitbull", etc...
I think it did make the ambiance more intense

I would find it interesting to see some tactics tried in some asymmetric BVR scenarios, such as against mig-31 (r-33) or f-14 (aim-54)
.
excellent content as always

Great video Growling. Just a piece of small advice for you: in the current state, SAM mode will not adjust the radar elevation based on the target altitude / or your maneuver (such as diving you did after you fired your long-range fox 3 shots). Therefore it is easier to lose lock when you are locking targets in SAM mode. In TWS mode, however, your radar will adjust its elevation to hold the lock and you will not lose lock that easily like what happened at 4:44 of your video. Obviously, radar modes are WIP so this might change. I hope this helps!

I litterally learn new things from every video of yours, the explanation in 13:40-14:09 was defintley a change in perception for me about radar guided missiles.

Keep up the incredible work.

I hated the f16 when I first got DCS. Something about the big inlet under the cockpit just threw off the look for me. After buying it on sale and spending half an hour learning BFM in it I fell in love with it. Still struggle to grasp some of the radar features but so far it's been one of my favorite jets for dogfighting and BVR. Love the content!

Very good lessons about missiles, speed, energy, height and distances; it's hard to remember all that on the heat, but the lessons are good.

I'm just now getting started on this bird from BMS and it's quite a different beast in terms of the physics of engagements. I have a new found respect for this sim and I've alot to learn yet.

Good video as usual. My thrustmaster comes in Thursday. Until then I can cold start, take off, use the radar (I think) and almost land the f16 with just the keyboard. Your f16 videos are very helpful

Your videos with the f-16 are just so much better than with other airplanes thanks to the capabilities of this fighter. It's unbelievable to see a BVR fight beginning at 60 NM... I have seen many of your videos with other jets, and I think that it never happened before. Wonderfull tach view at the end. Thanks :)

Oh, you're flying an F-16 from the airbase in Łask (32 BLT), right next to my house. This is fun to watch!

Awesome engagement, I really like your videos! However consider the shooting order from outside in. The sooner you pop thos missiles from the wingtips, the sooner you can pull more G-s and if after 2 missiles it gets into a dogfight, that's a huge difference.
