Primary, Social, Promotions, Forums Somehow GMAIL decides what to put in those but I don't like what how its doing that. I want to name my own (what are these anyway? "Categories?") I know how easily they are confused with folders (that aren't folders but act just like folders) called "labels!" I have a couple of Labels that I'd much rather use instead of "promotions" for example and filter all the incoming mail to that "category." Hope you have a tutorial on this, because it takes up 2/3 of my GMAIL Thanks! Dave

How to do you do specific words? Like if I want tiktok shop to be filtered, would I type in "tiktok shop". I don't want "tiktok" filtered, just "tiktok shop".

Great tips on this and other videos. I am having difficulty getting notifications for mail that has arrived with filters that skip the Inbox and apply a label or label nested under another label. On my Pixel 5 I've gone into Settings, General Settings, Inbox notifications and checked Label notifications and Notify for every message. Does anyone know if I'm missing something or if this is just the way it is when you skip the inbox?
