Huge Victory In California Overturned Major Gun Control Law

There are so many laws in the state of California that it can be hard to keep track. Post Bruen we have seen some of those challenged laws overturned. There is absolutely no reason for a 1 a month law. None. Especially more if you already own firearms, it completely defeats the purpose that THEY say it does. It's completely asinine.

I retired and just voted with my feet and moved to another state. Now, i enjoy my rights. No one gun a month. No approved roster. No assault weapons ban. No ammo background check. No high capacity mag bans. Open or concealed carry without a permit. CCWs are shall issue and not may issue. I got my CCW so I'm covered in the 37 other states that honor my state's CCW. To hell with California. I took my retirement pension to spend in my new home state, not in California.

CA does not EVER give us courtesy when passing unconstitutional gun laws but yet we have to bend the knee and give them professional courtesy and give them stays.

Ironically the Judge put a 30 day stay on his ruling. And we know exactly what will happen next, Bonta will appeal to the 9th circus within those 30 days.

CA is the worst state to be a gun owner, a car owner, a home owner. Any kind of owner of anything that can be owned pretty much… you pay for the weather! Ok…

The State of California will still appeal this case and of course will use more tax payer funds to fight this in court.

Now all we have to do is keep the state from adopting a gun registry. It will be OK for a while.

Gangs of people can load their bags with stolen merch and everyone stands around and does nothing to stop it. but criminalize those who abide by the law. Everything is backwards right now

Even a temporary violation of our rights is an irreparable harm. The ninth circuit itself recently ruled this applies to the second amendment. That being said, when a law violates our rights, no judge should stay their order stopping that infringement for 30 seconds, let alone 30 days.

It's great news but - in my opinion - something needs to be done to speed these constitutional rights cases along. The state is intentionally slow-rolling these cases to make them more expensive, give themselves time to pass something else to continue the process, and in the hopes that the makeup of SCOTUS changes in the meantime. It's an obvious crack in the judicial system that the state is exploiting and it needs to be addressed.

Everyone needs to listen to what I have to say. We all need to write SCOTUS and plead with all the conservative justices. Give them reason why they need to hear all the Cases that are up for Supreme Court review. They need to hear it from us. Be respectful when writing.

Politicians who "craft" known, indeed purposefully flawed laws to tie up the judiciary and cause trouble to the law abiding citizens need to be identified and called out, and removed from office.

When a constitutional right is challenged by a law the right should be law until the end of litigation.

July 1 this year California is imposing an additional 11% sales tax on all firearms and ammo sales. Hopefully they put a stop to that as well
