Overturning California Ammunition Background Checks Update Rhode v. Bonta

California is due to give their historical evidence to Judge Benitez in Rhode v. Bonta, previously Rhode v. Becerra. Judge Benitez who has most of the big cases in California currently before him didn't seem to believe the evidence exists but gave California 30 days to come up with something. The state now has exactly one week left in which time we could have some good news.

They know that it takes years for lawsuits to work through the courts. The longer they can delay litigation the better for the Democrats that run this horrible state!

I’m a South Dakota resident. I tried to purchase some 22LR rimfire when traveling in California. They could not sell it to me because I was a non-resident. How messed up can one state be? I should have put in an order to a homeless person to go in and steal it for me.

Additional fees and steps is the same thing as having a poll tax or poll exam. Both of which have been shown to be UNCONSTITUTIONAL.

The background check itself is unconstitutional whether or not there was a false positive. I’m worried that we’ve set up a situation where they may let it stand if California approves it system. That’s not a good outcome.
