Oxygen is the most important chemical element for humans and all life on earth in many ways. Especially now during the Covid 19 pandemic, oxygen is the most valuable gas. When we breathe, we inhale 21% of oxygen gas, 78% nitrogen gas and the remaining 1% is a mixture of other gases such as carbon dioxide. Although oxygen is the second most abundant element in the atmosphere, its importance span far deeper than this. Let us explore what would happen if all the oxygen atoms on earth suddenly vanished!
