One thing not covered is how long it would take for these changes to take effect. Would the days instantly become only 6 hours, or would it take hundreds or thousands of years for the earth to gradually get going that fast? I wonder how much of life on earth could simply adapt if the change was slow enough.

And that's why it would be a very rare for all these dynamic events to come together at the same time and allow a perfect climate for life. The chances of this happening are miniscule hence searching for extra terrestrial life is like finding a grain of sand. Hopefully with more powerful telescopes we'll find a planet in a system that does have the perfect habitat for sustainable life as we know it. Unless it's something that we don't know with completely new dynamics for survival then maybe it could well be more diverse and pervasive.

Plus the moon bounces sunlight. Losing the moon will make nights darker then it is now. Pitch black.

You also forgot to mention that if we loose the moon there is no control over the Earth's axis. There would be continuous increase and decrease of axis, which can be catastrophic. If earth axis bents just .5 degrees there would be severe earthquakes and tsunamis, just imagine if the axis bends more than 1 degrees.
