I was recently made aware of an article called 'signs you're eating too much fruit' So is this really a problem? How much fruit is too much? Are the sugars in fruit harmful to the body? Is fruit sugar the same as refined sugar? Is 8 servings of fruit a day too much?

There is no food more physiologically suited to humans than fruit. From a very young age, humans are naturally drawn to bright colorful objects and sweet flavours. Fruit hangs from trees and bushes at about the perfect height for us to see and pick with our fingers. If we are one thing, we are natural fruit eaters!

I'm 58 and I've been eating a large serving of fruit every morning for the past 30+ years plus berries every night for the past 15+ years and I consider myself to be the epitome of health. I'm running marathons, never had a weight problem, no diseases, seldom sick, full of energy and alertness. Go fruit! I love it!!!

PSA of the day: if the nutrition guru you follow is telling you that fresh fruit has “too much sugar” and you should be CUTTING OUT APPLES to be healthy - absolutely run.

I wish I could remember which video it was, in one of Dr. Gereger's videos he says that one of the biggest health risk factors is not eating ENOUGH fruit!!!

It's really a shame that there even are articles titled 'signs you're eating too much fruit' in the world. You would think that by now all the health professionals would know better. Excellent video!

Loading up on fruit helper me cut out sweets. And got me on the whole food plant based diet track. I eat tons of fruit. Lost 70lbs so far!

Good video!, I have seem plenty of studies showing that fruit consumption is NOT an issue, quite the contrary. More fruit consumption is associated with LESS diabetes for example. And (anecdotally) I actually eat lots of fruit. Maybe 5-9+ portions a day (including some in put in my smoothie) and my fasting glucose & Hb A1c (overall picture of what our average blood sugar levels have been over a period of weeks/months) are always normal. On my last blood tests from March my fasting glucose was 4.16 mmol/L (range: 3.33-6.38) and more importantly my Hb A1c (estimate of my 3 month glucose levels) was 4, 9 % ( range: 4-6). And note that I do not have a particularly low fat diet (I consume nuts and seeds daily and avocados often)

I've been eating a high fruit plant-based diet for 15 years, the last 3 years mostly fruit (minimum 2, 000 calories of fruit a day) and have nothing but great things to say about it and will never go back.

I eat about 500 g of carbs/day and most of those come from different fruits. I have perfect blood sugar regulation and feel better on high fruit than on high starch/legumes.(I eat that too ofc, but feel my best on fruits!)😊🌼

Fat is what causes diabetes so fruit is fine. As long as we aren't overweight, our insulin handles the sugar just fine.

It's very worrisome to me that people equate fruits and refine sugars when they talk about how sugar is bad for you
