"Semi-automatic rifle" isn't a significant term at all. The term "AR-15 style rifle" begins to have some significance. "It is high powered" is very nearly meaningless, as almost every rifle bigger than a .22 long rifle is "high powered". Ahhh, "longer barrel than most AR-15s" has meaning. At last, a meaningful term - but is the term accurate? How long is the barrel? 14, 16, 18, or 20 inches? Anything longer falls within the realm of "sniper rifle" or "match rifle".
