Law enforcement sniper took photo of Trump rally gunman minutes before shooting

The tactical team sniper saw Thomas Matthew Crooks looking through a rangefinder and called for backup. Crooks killed one man and injured Trump and two others.

I think this man has probably put his finger on where the slip up occurred. My guess is that no one made sure that the local law enforcement and the Secret Service could actually talk with each other in real time.

Re the person saying the problem was that the SS is stretched thin and needed to rely on local authorities- the entire problem was that they didn't have anyone on that roof. They had enough people to put inside the building, but not on the roof? That failure was apparently not because of the local law enforcement- the Emergency Services Unit that was deployed there said that securing that building was under the purview of the SS, as it was off of the rally grounds.
