I tried to tell this to my friend, she refused to listen and smoked up her apartment with olive oil, trying to sear a steak on high. Her son and I were coughing up a storm in the living room 😭 I told her to stop, it's only for low heat, she ended up getting 2nd degree burns all over her arms and I just 🥲😓 I tried.
Don't be like that friend and listen if someone is telling you something important, don't think you're too good to take advice for your safety!

Since my original comment, I have learned differently and now avoid all seed oils, coconut oil, avocado and the like. Now I just use grass-fed butter, tallow, and bacon fat. I went Carnivore in the second week of January 2024 and will never go back to the old way of eating. (comment revised 09/20/2024)
