Crazy that I have played DOZENS of Alith Anar campaigns - every single one of them, I went for Early Tyrion confederation (Turn13-20ish) and it's not until now I finally find the EASY way to do it, by Turn FIVE!
Did any of you guys already know this worked and never tell me? :P

I've played around with Alith Anar's start wayyy too much, the fastest I've confederated Tyrion is turn 3, but I'm not sure I would recommended that as you get Lothern at tier 1 (tier 2 finishes on turn 4). Here are a couple of tricks to make the start easier, if you are willing to re-roll the starting seed as there is a bit of RNG with faction traits and assassination targets:

1) You can avoid sending a lord/hero to Tyrion by meeting him through a trade agreement with Ellyrion, but this depends entirely on their random diplomatic traits. If they do not have 'Wary' (-30 diplomatic penalty) and are therefore neutral, you can give them 4 small gifts on turn 1 and get the trade agreement on turn 4. The best case though is if they have 'Ardent' (+30 diplomatic bonus), with that you can get a trade agreement immediately (no gifts needed) and meet Tyrion on turn 1 (or any turn you choose).

2) My turn 3 run was also based on getting two assassination rewards as fast as possible, and you CAN do that by turn 3 but only if your random starting target is Losteriksson of Skeggi (Exarian and Rakarth are always the other two). Also, ideally the rewards for both Exarian and Losteriksson should have +20 diplomacy bonus, but on my run only 1 had it and it still worked. After capturing Bleak Hold Fortress on turn 1 (and getting Route Marcher of course), on turn 2 move back toward Arnheim until you have 68% movement then trigger the rite to spawn the assassin, this should give him exactly enough movement to reach Skeggi on the next turn and give you exactly enough movement in force march back north to be in range of Exarian in Hag Hall, who attacks you over the end turn and you can kill him.

That battle is really not that bad depending on what you recruited on turn 1, in fact if you don't disband any troops and recruit 3 shadow warriors and 3 archers from global you can auto resolve it but I definitely wouldn't do that since I believe your army getting wrecked will reduce your strength and Tyrion is less likely to confederate. When I did it, I disbanded the spearmen, recruited 6 archers (3 local/3 global), fought the battle manually (eagle is really great for wasting there ammo), took very little damage, and Tyrion confederated (but took all my money). Great thing is you can then push Hag Hall with ease. Hope this info helps!

Problem is on higher difficulties the intrigue costs are just ridiculously expensive, so I'm not sure it's possible to get relations high enough like that.

In warhammer 2 this can be done in turn 3 if you enter into a trade agreement with eliryion then you discover tyrion instantly, so you don’t have to go so far with alith anar and then back. But can I ask what is the best thing to do after I’ve done this? What is the best course of action?

i still wish that tyrion wouldnt be so god damn difficult to confederate as Yvresse without actually going to war against him and beating the crap out of him but i guess lothern buffs him so much economically that its going to be hard af

i try almost every turn for confederate with tyrion (playing as yvresse) in 150 turn im focused economy and give him 230.000 gold and he accepted in early game teclis and imrik dying super fast im tried rescued them first

It is better wait, until Lotern upgrade tier 5, when confederation

I am having a hard time getting the early confederation and Alistar. Tyrion keeps recruiting a beast mage.
