Could you do a video on your wire trellis?
We are wanting to start a wisteria to grow up and over our living room window but we are unsure about how many wires we should use.

Hi Ben, Loving your down to earth advice! I just bought a wisteria… not realising it was the American ‘Amethyst falls’ trained up a fan shaped frame. Is there any way to grow it as half standard tree? It’s about 4ft high and in a large barrel pot. 🇬🇧

Hi Ben. We planted a wisteria earlier this year. It's done really well and has put on a 8-10ft runner from the mai stem. We've installed a lateral wire supports on the wall it's growing up. Currently I've tied in the vine runner to grow up very vertically and then across the top lateral support wire. There's also a secondary runner coming off the first runner. Wondering if I should be doing a post August prune and then and February prune? Or should I leave this runner to establish. I'd post a picture but can't on here. Thanks

I have a young wisteria black dragon that is approximately 18" tall with 4 shoots off the main stem. My question is, do I cut all bar one shoot off until the stem reaches the desired height to branch left and right or do I let the 4 shoots grow and intertwine until they reach the desired height and then train horizontally left and right. Thanks
