This movie should be dedicated this Memorial Day to all the pilots who climbed into their aircraft, knowing they wouldn't come back, but also knew that if they didn't go, others would die. That's European Theater, Pacific Theater, or the countless other places their mortal remains lay as they protected their comrades in arms with their last full measure. If ever we needed people like that, we really need them now.

rewatched this film yesterday with my parents this time. both of them were teens when the first top gun came out, and i've been raised on it since i was a kid. as soon as this song came on, the three of us started getting so emotional. however, it wasn't until the movie ended that we got up from our seats and gave each other the biggest hug, just crying our eyes out. i'm so grateful that my parents got me into top gun from the time i was a little kid because seeing maverick with them will ALWAYS be a cherished memory.

The moment when the bell ring, such a goosebump and wanna cry so much because this is our childhood, like a dream to fly, that kind of feel. Thank you Harold and Hans Zimmer such a wonderful song. There is never been such an experience just like my old days.
