Once upon a time, my father told me how he had to respond to an off base fire with the crash crew. They turned the corner and saw the block had only one hydrant, and the only car on the block was parked right in front of it! Needless to say they never slowed down! The car flew 60 ft. down the street. JUSTICE!!

I've done it once myself when my probie and I had to hookup to a hydrant. Not only did we take out the windows; we opened the doors I
laid hose across the seats to avoid kinking. Since we were toned out right after a truck fire the bright yellow 8 inch supply was brownish gray, wet from slush, salt and and muddy. Just for good measure we had the vehicle ticketed, towed, and it spent the night in the impound yard. The owner wanted our department to pay for the broken glass, the interior was stained beyond cleaning, towing, impound fees, tickets, and his rental car expenses. His insurance denied his claim and needless to say when he tried to sue the department for his losses he was almost laughed out of the courtroom.
