Why have none of the SotF 'best base location' videos ever mentioned where I tend to build - on the cliff shelf above the small lake at coordinates -811 169 -280 (to teleport there easily open the dev console and type 'gotocoords' followed by the 3 numbers above).

It's effectively accessible only from a narrow path in one direction so easy to defend from cannibals even in early game with a couple of flyswatter traps. Not massively roomy but plenty of space for a decent log cabin and more. The lake freezes in winter but the stream always has running water. A few nearby tracks means a constant source of Greg stew ingredients and bones.

Tell me I'm wrong!!! 😜
