90% of programming and software dev industry is web development. Its over saturated. Mobile dev is more niche.

I like both. I am a backend dev but I am doing some side projects in native android so I can say I develop software.

i was really impressed with the simplicity of java spring and lombok and i used this for the backend part. I used both flutter and vue.js for the frontend and I must say that I really like the structure. now I'm studying laravel.. What I can say after 3 years of programming in dart and flutter and that the system is highly structured and after an initial difficulty to manage the objects in the end I'm fine with flutter. I admit Kotlin is more professional that is, if you have to manage the whole part of the device you don't have to look for external libraries and everything is already there, but now the KMM part still seems too young to me, so in the end for now it remains Swift and Kotlin for more projects structured backends with python PostgreSql and Keycloak. Financial projects with JavaSpring security management, Laravel medium/secure projects with Mongodb for the backend, Flutter for native mobile and Vue.js for webdevelopement

Flutter, it's good for mobile developers who want to build web apps for starters

Nicely explained. Hey bro, I think you are not taking enough rest these days. You seem a bit exhausted these days in your videos. Stay healthy and happy 😊😊

i mean web development and desktop app development nearly borders each other so this has more interesting things to do aside from the browser client since desktop apps have natives too like mobile

and there are platforms that allows for a sinhle code base and export to multiple platform like flutter with the basics going for android, ios and web (also react native too)

the web part can be converted to a desktop app too with electronjs, neutralinojs, tauri, etc...

so basically there's a thin line between mobile, web and desktop development today unless you are going full native for each platform

another interesting field is emebeded device development

the tech stack for web development seems larger to me, if we're talking full stack. and there are way more options to choose from.
mobile development is by definition end-to-end. you'll worry about both animations and writing to the database :)
web developers don't have "twin platforms" either. web is web. as an Android dev, you will usually collaborate with iOS devs: crossplattform consistency is important.

Hi Phil, tried out Web Development for close to 1 year and eventually learned 2 things. I enjoy mobile development with Android, and I equally enjoy Django creating API's and basic CRUD apps. After feeling stuck and undecided I figured why not focus on both? Django for the backend making API and GET request and Android for the frontend. Django follows the MVT model, and I think Android follows the MVVM model?
I am still very new to all this, but I am guessing if you have an understanding of an MVT model will that help you to better grasp concepts for Androids MVVM model when creating mobile apps? Thanks Phil.
