I followed my general physician's and cardiologist's advice, resulting in over ten prescription tablets. I experienced many side effects for which other medications were prescribed. My son’s encouraged me to investigate the Carnivore Diet. And so I did. After purchasing several books and watching many videos, as of January 1, I only ate meat, seafood, eggs, cheese, and butter. Two weeks into the carnivore diet, I stopped taking my depression medicine. Eight weeks into it, I dropped the statin medicine, and shortly thereafter, a comprehensive blood test was done. The results were stunning: no more pre-diabetes, and blood pressure came down; however, it was still too high. Cholesterol (LDL) had improved. Another blood test was done six months into it. My doctor's comment was: “Perfect blood results, good job.” By the way, I also lost over 25 lbs (10+kg). I am left with one prescription tablet for sleeping. My blood pressure was in the 150’s; now it’s between 115 and 125. All I can say is: EAT MEAT!!!

For every 10000 iu of vitamin D3, we should also take 100 micrograms of Vitamin K2. The K2 helps to redistribute misplaced calcium, away from arteries and into bones and teeth.

Great to know the truth. Gave up calcium tablets after I found out it’s much better to eat nutrient dense food.

I use bone glue for woodworking sometimes, that's a traditional collagen glue like hide glue, made by boiling the collagen out of bones (or hides). That glue is incredibly strong, you wouldn't believe it. To me it's very obvious what makes bones strong.

I'll say in 2005, I learned a coworker had a problem with her bone density. All the ladies were sympathetic and encouraging her to take the calcium drug to help her bones. (We have a huge tendency to think in a paradigm that wonder drugs (so called) have been invented that help stop bone loss and even increase density. But no one ever explains the scientific medical "mechanism" (medical technical term for 'the method the body does something biologically' or the 'method a medication does something inside the human body').

I felt for her she was fairly young mother.

In a moment of curiosity, i googled "what vitamins are used in building bones ... and literally a medical sourced artical came up.

Turns out, not just Calcium (they were asking her to increase via artificial vitamins). But also vitamin K, A, C, E, proteins, magnesium, and possibly (dont remember) B complex vitamins.

I was surprised to discover that there was a vitamin K and calcium requires magnesium and then that all the whole spectrum of vitamins is needed.

The article went into depth about the liver's role in metabolising proteins for bone construction and repair. Our liver makes (synthesis) a lot of specific proteins used in bone maintenance.

I printed the article and gave to the lady.

I'll never forget the huge disconnect between nutritional science and medicine.

I eat the membranes from raw eggs. I peel them off and cook them with my eggs. I also eat chicken cartilage, rib membrane, steak gristle, fried fish skin, and then make nice jelly bone broth with the bones.

I've also heard that bone medications make improve your bone density but bones are more easily broken! Thanks for your information. I believe in you

Vitamin D3 and calcium carbonate is the guidelines in UK despite the fact that your calcium levels are good. Results in lowering stomach acid and decreases absorption of nutrients OMG

Egg shells contain a buncha calcium, too. Put them in a coffee grinder, turn them into a powder and stir into a drink or mix it in with ground beef, you'll never even know it there. Then your bone will grown to be big, beautiful and strong!

I know that's what they think. The drug Fosamax increases the bone density but makes them weak and after 2 to 3 years they suffer a femur fracture; it snaps like a piece of chalk. And calcium might get into the soft tissues... You are right, diet is key!

I can’t eat dairy so I need a source of calcium in my diet. I save the shells from the pastured eggs we eat, rinse, boil, bake, and grind them - including the membrane - into a powder. Before I started using eggshell powder, my leg muscles would come amp terribly.
I’ve eaten ketovore for four years now. After adjusting my other electrolytes (potassium and magnesium) calcium was the mineral I needed to ad into my diet.

YES, Wonderful sources of Collagen AND Glycine. Glycine helps promote insulin spikes. Calcium does help when low, when a person has deficiency and while doing resistance training with the calcium. Calcium is a needed electrolyte. Also supports muscle contraction. All details matter.

I make stock with good quality chicken carcasses after we've eaten the chicken. It tastes absolutely delicious in homemade soups.

I always eat the shell tail ends on grilled prawns, 🤤
As well as crispy fish skin and chicken bone gristle. I do it for the tastes they give, glad its doing good too!
