I’m Vincent Racaniello, Earth’s Virology Professor.

I’m also a professor of virology at Columbia University in New York. I’ve been doing research on viruses since 1976, and teaching virology in classrooms and online since 1999. On this YouTube channel I share videos of my lectures, podcasts, and more.

May be, in SARS COV2 infection, we must avoid hypothermia and low temperature oxigen.
At TWiV 659 at min29 Christian Drosten sugested that SARS COV2 can be a temperature sensitive virus.
When IgM increase IT seem that at some patients, , low temperature agglutinine, , can occur.
May be mask wearing also warm upper respiratory tract?

We all have faults so judgment is hard in that are faults are not the same do enjoy your videos even though much is over my head as only having primary education

With very few exceptions, Medical Doctors have had the right to prescribe whatever medication they choose, to treat illness. This is because a clinition always has to act on incomplete information, unlike a scientific experiment. Thus they need to use judgment and refer to personal experience. I think it is inappropriate in an emerging illness like covid, to forbid doctors from prescribing according to their own judgment.

Doesnt tocilizumab work earlier in the infection? It failed in late diseaase & i guess theres a time thats too early but it looks useful with the proper timing
