Thank you. I have a long term SI joint problem. It’s a nightmare. One morning I actually felt that nerve that had loosened up from a acupuncture treatment the day before. It felt like exactly what you showed a cord! It tightened back up from the lower part of my leg back to the exact spot where the pain generates from. At least it’s helpful to know what’s happening in.

That is the "Pain in the ass nerve" LOL When my surgeon did my knee replacement on my RT. knee he told me that I had the tightest hamstrings he had ever felt. I try to get my stretching in but they still stay tight, I got one of those massagers that look like a drill off Amazon to keep them loose and a Tens unit also, I use it on the shoulder also.
